Squirt mustard and ketchup on every hot dog according to the beats of 4 different songs. Feel the rhythm, get a high combo streak and aim for the best high score!

Tip: Start with "Couch Potato", it's the easiest track.

Controls

  • Press the left mouse button when a yellow mustard note is in the bottom white circle.
  • Press the right mouse button when a red ketchup note is in the top white circle.
  • Hold the according button for longer notes and release when it is over.
  • Press Escape to pause the game.
  • Tip: You can remap the controls in the Settings.

Accessibility & Settings

You can adjust the audio volumes, remap controls and even adjust the delay of your input device and visual delay! Colorblind people should also be able to play the game without any problems since mustard and ketchup are always in their respective lanes. You can stop the background from moving, dim it, or be make it completely black if you wish. You can enable touch controls in the settings (horizontal or vertical zones both possible) and also invert their assignment if you want to. You can also change the offset for your inputs and offset of the game's visuals. There's a calibration scene accessible in the Settings menu that can help you with that. You can enable arrow indicators to help you see whether you hit early or late, and you can turn on/off the distortion of the hit sound.

could you make this accessible for a fully blind person?

maybe add automatic clipboard output, tts or screen-reader support.

maybe audio instead of visual cueues and only using keyboard?

Hi! Thanks for your suggestions, unfortunately I don't have any development updates planned for Hot Dog Hero as of right now, However, Sisypush is blind-accessible! if you'd like to try that. Otherwise Sequence Storm appears to be another free rhythm game which offers blind-accessibility.

Yes, the last background can be somewhat bright in certain areas, however, you can enable background dimming or disable the moving background in the settings, so that should help make the arrows more readable.

I beat Couch Potato once with a Ruby Medal, then proceeded to get a Hero Medal on every other song immediately after selecting it in the menu

So sorry this bug occurred to you! I can remember this happened to me as well a few months back. Since then I have fixed many bugs and just like 5 minutes ago (literally), I published the long-awaited Hot Dog Hero Update 1.2, so I can not 100% confirm that the bug you mentioned is gone, however, I also could not reproduce it on my machine anymore, so I am hopeful. Great Game!

i really liked playing it and i tryed my best at every song got platin at every song.

i like the idea, quite funny.

and i somehow managed to play that on my phone.

one finger is mustard two are ketchup and mustart

you cant do ketchup alone on mobile ): even tho its ment to be played on pc i think you could do mobile support with ease since unity just allows to export it and you only have to make a ketchup button tbh.

(it takes two buttons that react to a click with the mouse curser whish works exactly like a touch on your phone)

still would be cool if you add mobile support

Hi, just wanted to let you know: We now have Android support! :) Touch screen control generally can be enabled in the settings in WebGL as well (enabled by default on Android)
 (did not test it with my phone with WebGL yet though, only Android, so I hope it also works with the WebGL build)
